As our first month back in school draws to a close, I would like to thank our incredible staff, PTA, and volunteers for all of the wonderful things they do each day! It is a blessing to be part of such an amazing school community.

We are very excited to announce that our 3rd Graders will once again begin their 6 week Penguin Study at Jenkinson’s Aquarium! This is one of our favorite enrichment programs here at Saint Peter’s and we are grateful for our educational partners at Jenkinson’s!

Our 5th Graders will be participating in the 34th Annual Fall Student Summit -Clean Ocean Action at Island Beach State Park. They will participate in many field workshops including: Intro to Terrapins; Marine Animal Identification; Ocean to Bay; Birds of the Jersey Shore; Marine Water Quality Monitoring, and Understanding Marine Debris. This hands on day at the beach will provide unique and enriching experiences for our students, and we are thrilled to be involved this year!

Our 7th and 8th Graders will once again be going to Broadway! We will take in a show, visit Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and have lunch. We’re looking forward to an exciting day in NYC!

Our precious PreK 3 students visited my office on Wednesday! What a wonderful and curious group they are!

Congratulations to our newly inducted Student Council Officers and Governors! We look forward to their leadership this year.

Our 2nd Graders experimented with apples in the Science Lab this week. They made their predictions and conducted multiple experiments with apples, such as sink or float and can an apple explode like a volcano? (The answer is YES!)

Last, but certainly not least, here is an example of the kindness and thoughtfulness of our students. A 1st Grader, Jax, used his birthday money to purchase some fun seating for the library! What a wonderful gesture and fantastic surprise for our new librarian! Thank you, Jax!!

Blessings – Mrs. Kobrin
