Integrated Language Arts is the development of literacy through an ongoing and connected process where listening, speaking, reading, and writing occur in natural situations within a community of learners. The ability to communicate in a global world, to understand and to be understood, is intrinsic to developing collaboration and interdependence in the 21st century. Through an integrated Language Arts curriculum, students develop skills in language literacy to move them beyond an isolated world of learning into an all-enveloping wide world of interrelated knowledge. The components of the Language Arts program are:

  • Reading Writing
  • Speaking
  • Listening
  • Handwriting
  • Spelling
