Time is certainly flying, and it’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this week. School has been bustling with activity and excitement! Last week, our Parish and School worked together to collect and deliver more than 325 Thanksgiving food bags to St. Gregory’s Food Pantry! The generosity of those in our St. Peter community is unparalleled. Parish volunteers, our 8th grade students and teacher, Father Robert and myself delivered the bags and were so happy to be of service within the community to help those in need. It was certainly a wonderful morning.

Our 3rd Graders completed their 6 week course at Jenkinson’s Aquarium. The class raised money to adopt Elmer, the youngest penguin, and even got to meet him in person! We truly value our educational partnership with Jenkinson’s and are so grateful for the opportunity to work with the great people at the aquarium!

There was a FUN FRIDAY for Grade 5 Integrated Language Arts! Students focused on the love of reading.  No pencils,  no worksheets… just a book,  friends, and discussions. Mrs. Cooper believes that finding a love for reading is paramount.

The BIG event on Friday was the Rah Rah!! Students dressed in SPS spirit wear and engaged in some fun and friendly competition run by the Student Council. The 5th Grade came out victorious and won the Spirit Stick for the month! Cheers and lots of school pride ruled the day!

More fantastic work is going on in the Science Lab….6th Grade is learning about magnetic fields and 8th Grade is studying Geology.

Kindergarten and Grade 6 Prayer Partners worked on a Thanksgiving project together and had a wonderful Monday morning!

To finish out the short week, Kindergarten had their traditional Thanksgiving Feast! Our little Pilgrims and Native Americans enjoyed a wide array of delicious holiday foods and had so much fun sharing this wonderful meal together!

From all of us at Saint Peter School to all of you, we wish you a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING filled with love, family, and many happy moments.  Blessings…Mrs. Kobrin
