Dear students and parents/guardians,

My name is Dr. Andrew Presti and I shall be your new 6th Grade teacher. I hope you all had a fantastic summer filled with endless fun, but rest assured, the fun is not over yet. You are about to embark on what I hope will be one of your best school years ever!

We are going to learn about so many awesome topics over the course of the year, from ancient Egyptians to the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, from medieval knights and kingdoms to the swashbuckling pirates of the Caribbean! You will discover so many interesting things about the world in Social Studies this year, and I cannot wait to teach you about all of these amazing subjects.

I shall also be teaching Language Arts as well, yet another subject that I love! It is true that you can travel the world through literature, and I hope you, too, will come to enjoy the magic that language has to offer.

In the meanwhile, feel free to cruise around these links (provided below) and do some light reading. It never hurts to get a head start on your classes! You might also want to check out the links to the geography games as well. It will prepare you for our exciting adventures into history.

I am looking forward to seeing you all at school soon!

~ Dr. Presti
