A NEW PARENTS VIEW………….

Like any parent, I wanted my child to have a productive and positive educational experience. When it came time to start thinking about schools for her, I knew I wanted a place with a challenging curriculum that would give her a strong foundation for the future. I also wanted a place that put the same importance on teaching children to become good, moral, and responsible citizens of our world. I found this rare combination at St. Peters.

From the minute I walked through the doors, I knew this was the place I wanted to send Emily. I am not sure if was the sense of familiarity or the colorful children's artwork on the walls but I immediately felt welcome. The community spirit was simply infectious. It was also evident that the strong Christian values you would expect from a Catholic school are not only taught here but are a way of life.

In the hustle and bustle of today's busy world it is nice to walk into a place were people know you and your children by name. As a class mom, I spend a lot of time at the school and see first hand the dedication and hard work of the teachers and staff. With only one class per grade I know my daughter is receiving the individualized attention she deserves. Plus, St. Peters offers the same extracurricular opportunities, like sports and after care that you might find at a larger institution. Again, the best of both worlds.

I know my child is lucky to attend such a great school and as a family we are blessed to now be part of the St. Peters' Community. I truly believe that St. Peters is one of the best-kept secrets at the Jersey Shore, but don't take my word for it. Come experience it for yourself and your children. You will be glad you did.

ALUMNI FAMILIES SAY IT BEST…..

As parents of two St. Peter School alumni, we look back on the choices we made regarding our children's education with no regret. The decisions we make alter and shape our children's lives. When it came to education, we chose the school that was consistent with the values we held as parents and that would best fit our children. For this reason, our decision in St. Peter School was the beginning of bright futures for both Kaitlyn (Class of 2000) and Shawn (Class of 2003).

Our family has taken great value in Catholic education. Upon graduation from St. Peter School, our daughters continued their Catholic education at Monsignor Donovan High School. I am proud to say that our decision in Catholic education at St. Peter School proved its merit. When it came time for each of our girls to choose a college, both chose Catholic universities. Kaitlyn went on to St. Joseph University, to peruse a career in Art Education, while Shawn chose The Catholic University of America, for Architecture. We firmly believe the positive experience they gained at St. Peter School encouraged their choice. The comprehensive instruction helped them grow and develop in their beliefs as strong and unique individuals.

Through the St. Peter community, our entire family built friendships with those who share the same morals and values as we do. Besides the friendships, we place great value upon the opportunities SPS had to offer. The leadership acquired from serving as Student Council officers, and the ability to work as a team member in basketball and softball contributed to the personal growth and development of our children.

We feel both honored and privileged to share our experiences at St. Peter School with you, as we feel we were very much a part of the school community ourselves. Serving as an officer on PTA and a member of the Father's Club, we had the opportunity to become active participants in our children's school lives.

The combination of both education and faith makes the distinction between Catholic school and public school clear. We feel the strong ministry to youth and the focus on each child as an individual sets SPS apart. If we had to do it all over again, we would choose St. Peter School in a heartbeat.
